Our favorite moments of running a San Francisco bakery are helping Noe Valley’s neighborhood kids celebrate their A-spelling test, science projects, or good behavior on a shopping trip.

Our cookies are just like grandma used to make, literally. We use some of our own family recipes that have been handed down from our parents and great-grandparents. Our Betty Jo’s Peanut Butter Cookie dates back to 1944 when, head Baker and Owner Michael’s, mom would sell them at bake sales to raise money for war charities. We’ve also come up with our own recipes, like our award winning Hamantashen and our Brown Butter-Salty Sugar Cookie – it’s sure to answer your salty-sweet craving with a complex nutty flavor from the browned butter.
