Our Coronavirus Response

Update for Monday March 16, 2020

In accordance with today’s announcement from the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Noe Valley Bakery will remain open and provide baked goods for takeout.

To help with social distancing, we are making the following modifications to our business:

We ask that our customers limit the number of people in the bakery at any one time so we can each have space to keep our “social distance”. Please wait outside in line if there are more than four customers inside the bakery.

We really appreciate your continued support during this difficult time and we are so glad to be your neighborhood bakery!

A Note from the Noe Valley Bakery Owners

Noe Valley Bakery

We all find ourselves in an uncertain and crazy world right now.  We want you to know that we take our responsibility to you and our neighborhoods seriously and want to keep you all as safe as possible.  We are working with the San Francisco Department of Public Health to keep us open for business and safe and healthy!

We are dedicated to remaining open and to providing a place for you to come and get nourishment and a friendly local interaction.  We want you to have a place for your kids to come, even if their school is closed.  We want to remain a good neighbor in the face of adversity.

We are modifying the way we do business as this situation unfolds and we want to let you know about a few of the things we are doing right now:

  1. We are changing our current happy hour to an all-day coffee happy hour every day until further notice.  We all need a pick-me-up right now, so all of our coffee drinks are $2.00 all of the time!
  2. We are taking extra care of our employee’s health and well-being.  They will stay home if they are ill and we will provide sick leave for them.
  3. We are being extremely vigilant about hygiene and cleanliness.  We are cleaning and sanitizing everything constantly.
  4. We are serving everything in to go containers only until further notice.  At our West Portal location, we will not be using our china, glass and silver and only serving in disposable packaging.
  5. We are eliminating the customer self-service area for coffee with the shared cream, sugar and other condiments.  We will have items available in individual disposable packaging for now.  We will also pour milk in your coffee from behind the counter if desired.
  6. We are encouraging credit card use rather than cash and sanitizing the register often.

We take our role in the San Francisco community very seriously and we thank you for trusting us to take care of you.  We are your neighborhood bakeries in good times and in bad and we are here for you.  Come in and say hi and share a moment when you can. We look forward to seeing you.
